Mentorship Program

Our goals

The goal of the Family Child Care Mentorship Program is to improve the quality of care and professionalism of family, group, and FFN child care programs.

Through partnership between the Montana Family Child Care Network and the Montana Early Childhood System, mentor’s will provide personalized guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to programs considering licensure, new and established providers.

Objectives
  • To match each mentee with an experienced mentor who can provide guidance and support in areas such as program development, curriculum planning, and business management.
  • To provide mentees with access to group coaching, training, and professional development opportunities that enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • To support mentees in achieving licensure and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations.
  • To improve the quality of care provided by participating programs as measured by increased ratings on quality assessments and improved child outcomes.
  • To create leadership opportunities for those in field
  • To increase the retention of family, group, and FFN child care providers through personalized support and guidance.
